We’d like to introduce you to Red Clay 2.0

Over 15 months ago Red Clay launched with the vision “to grant you permission to be the artist of your own home.” During that time we have found that we, collectively, weren’t the only ones in love with that idea. As you began to design and decide the Red Clay collection others took note. Today we announce a new Red Clay.

Today we introduce a Red Clay that doubles down on the commitment to allow you to be the artist of your own home on an even broader scale. Red Clay will move from a focus of co-creating our own collection to co-creating EVERYONE’s collections. Moving forward we are committed to the ethos that “great ideas come from anywhere” while being the home of those great ideas and connecting them to great brands.

Here’s how it will work:

• Brands | issue design projects on which the Red Clay Design community may collaborate
• Designers | submit work based on the project creative brief and deliverable
• Consumers | critique, curate and ultimately select the designs
• Brands | produce and sell the chosen designs in stores across the country

To that end, I’m sure this change begs many questions. Will Red Clay still craft its own products? Can I still buy Red Clay products? Who is the first brand partner? How do I participate in the first brand partner’s project? Answers to these questions will be clear in the coming weeks. Stay tuned as we transition to this new approach. We will keep you posted via Facebook, Twitter, email and our webpage.

We’re beyond thrilled to be heading to New York today.  There is so much on the agenda for the next two weeks: the team will be together for the first time in months, we have some amazing meetings set up with some amazing partners, and we get to show off your beautiful designs to tens of thousands of people!  All of that in one of the most amazing environments in the world!  What could be more exciting than that?  

Thanks for all you’ve done to help bring us to this point!  Without your creativity, designs, opinions, and support we would not be able to bring this concept to creativity central.  We can’t wait to report back!
